In this brief I was set to design the outside of a spray can and a way to package it in a unique way that represented something about myself. I chose to show my love of city rooftop views at night. So I cut open the can and painted a cityscape silhouette that continued onto the packaging. The packaging stood up in a similar way to a picture frame.

Unit 39 - Typographic Design
Talking Type
In this piece I was asked to gather an interesting image of a person and base a piece of typography on it. I chose a controversial image depicting a man showing himself as a drug dealer. I chose to follow the style of a modern anti drug poster showing the dangers of cocaine. Using crushed up mints I created letters and some fake lines. This created a very controversial and shocking piece of typography showing how dangerous cocaine can be as it’s all about the profit for dealers.
Expressive Words
Here I had to create some typography expressing a word using only letters in Helvetica bold. Using the words murder, fused, explosion, acrobat and Backward I set off by designing them by hand then created the final product in Illustrator
Unit 3 - Ideas and Concepts
I designed these book covers based on the novels of Truman Capote. I was set an author and told to create 3 book jackets for 3 of his novels. I chose to use a vector style on the covers, which gives the books a modern edge to them.
Unit 1 - Visual Recording
I created this journal for a brief which involved illustrating what was read on a sticker which is placed on each page, I used many different techniques, such a digital vector work, ink drawing, mono printing and more to create a full interesting journal that shows many uses of techniques.
